Effortless Expression Through Careful Craft

My path into piano technology began through music itself. As a pianist and student of performance, I became fascinated with the mechanical side of the instrument — how subtle differences in touch, tone, and response can dramatically affect musical expression, and these factors can be controlled to allow for seamless expression. Over time this curiosity developed into a deeper study of piano action design, regulation, and tuning. Today my work focuses on helping instruments function as naturally and transparently as possible for the musician. Whether working on a home piano, a teaching instrument, or a performance grand, my goal is always the same: to remove the mechanical obstacles between the pianist and the music they want to create.
